A pure Nero d'Avola, Passo delle Mule is made from grapes grown on the Suor Marchesa estate, in the hinterland of southern Sicily. Here, soil, climate, and a good altitude provide the perfect blend for producing this rich, enveloping wine, which offers softness along with a remarkable freshness on the palate.
Vintage
The 2022 harvest was characterized by a mild and rainy winter, followed by a not-too-cold spring. In general, the different phenological stages of the vine were delayed by about 10 days compared to the average of recent years. The dry and low-humidity summer contributed to the integrity of the grapes and shifted the harvest to the end of September until the beginning of October.
Harvest
The harvest takes place from October 3rd to 11th.
