Firriato Wineries: the history

Firriato's story begins in Sicily in 1988. Initially, the company operated under another name, producing wine for other producers and exporters, but it wasn't long before Firriato acquired its own vineyards and began to pursue its own viticultural vision.

The Firriato Wineries were founded in 1988 by Fabrizio and Giovanni, two brothers passionate about wine. From the purchase of land in Sicily, Fabrizio and Giovanni wanted to revive one of the oldest and most brilliant cultural heritages.

Today, the Firriato estate covers about 500 hectares, most of which are vineyards and about 15 hectares of olive groves. The land is cultivated with particular care, according to the most modern principles of respect for the environment and biodiversity.

The quality of its products, the desire for continuous improvement, and the willingness to experiment and develop new production areas are Firriato's strengths, which has made the winery a globally recognized icon.
